Armed with a full-service digital studio, myself and my Candide colleagues spent six weeks in the People's Republic of China transmitting daily stories on everything from architecture and fashion to faith healers and culinary delicacies. Candide transmitted 15 dispatches, each based on a Chinese invention and each containing articles, images, audio and interactive tools.
